The Brownstone Cafe is one of those hidden little secrets that Downtown Fullerton has to offer. I stumbled upon this place while walking around one day with a friend. We walked into the Villa del Sol, the place where the Cafe is located and saw a bunch of tables in the courtyard. We passed a few tables where people were already sitting and eating lunch. Just by looking at the food, my friend and I knew immediately that we wanted to eat there.
Luckily, the cafe wasn’t too busy (it was around 1 pm) and we got seated right away. I ordered the Roasted Beef Panini and a cup of their Tomato Basil Bisque Soup (the waiter said it was one of their more popular items and I do love tomato soup so I tried it). The panini was DELICIOUS, but it didn’t compare to the soup. The Tomato Basil Bisque soup ruined all other tomato soups I’ve ever had. It was creamy, flavorful and literally the best soup I’ve ever tasted. My friend had the Brownstone Cobb which also looked delectable. It was quite a lot of salad for the price she paid for it.
In all, the experience at Brownstone Cafe was very good; the people were really nice and the food fantastic.
I had brunch here with a girlfriend on a Wed morning.
Brownstone Cafe is in the heart of Downtown Fullerton (hence, parking can suck at times). I’ve been here for lunch before, but brunch time was very quiet and serene here (due to the lack of people). The indoor seating made it feel like we were in the comforts of our own home (without having to cook/clean)! It’s a cute place for brunch!
I had the “build my own omelet” for $11, where you can pick up to 4 items. I chose cheddar, ham, bacon & mushroom! It came with a side of potatoes and toast!
I love omelets, and this was super yummy! Although the atmosphere feels like home, the cooking doesn’t feel too homemade. The one downside – the toast was stale. Other then that, service was good – the waitress gave us just enough attention, while giving us enough space to chat up a storm for a couple hrs! =)
Had breakfast this morning at the brownstone cafe for the first time and it was just fantastic.
Its a Little hidden but when you find it you have definitely found yourself a delicious little place for breakfast I enjoyed the pesto sausage omelet with potatoes and orange juice which was recommended to me buy our outstanding server Scott who not only set me up with a delicious breakfast plate, but was very attentive and personable and made the overall experience such a good one. i will definitely be returning
